Sometimes the best things happen when you least expect them.

Mitchell and I first met through work, and for years we were simply part of each other’s lives. Over time, a friendship grew, countless memories were made, and eventually we decided to take a chance on something more.

Since then, we’ve built a life together filled with adventure, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Much of that time has been spent on boats, fishing together, and making the most of every opportunity to get outside. One of our favourite memories is bringing our sweet Stevie along for a beautiful May long weekend at Little Sturge Lake.

We’ve spent weeks abroad soaking up the sun, and countless days along the shores of Northern Ontario’s lakes, creating memories we’ll carry with us forever alongside family and friends. During those years, we also made one of our best decisions—bringing home a little golden puppy named Doug—and a few years later, Murphy joined the family, completing our crew.

Along the way, we’ve turned two houses into homes, celebrated life’s milestones, and built a life we are incredibly proud of. Through every chapter—big or small, ordinary or extraordinary—we’ve continued to choose each other, growing a partnership that is even better than we ever imagined.

On March 21, 2025, along the rocky shoreline of Grand Marais after breakfast at the Blue Water Café, Mitchell asked me to spend forever with him. Surrounded by one of our favourite places and the beauty of Lake Superior, it was the easiest “yes” of my life.

We are so grateful for the journey that brought us here and cannot wait to celebrate the next chapter with all of you on August 22, 2026.
